Organizational development
The RvA considers sustainability to be an important societal theme and aims to make a positive contribution to it.
To make a positive contribution to sustainability in society, the RvA aims to identify and utilize opportunities within the quality infrastructure. To this end, the RvA regularly places sustainability on the agenda during discussions with clients and government authorities.
New accredited applications related to sustainability are being developed. For example, in the fields of sustainable tourism, social sustainability, and livestock housing emissions. In addition, the RvA is developing accreditations for new and amended regulations, such as the Battery Regulation, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and the amendment to the Renewable Energy Directive (RED).
The RvA is committed to managing its own CO2 footprint. To this end, we have mapped the CO2 footprint of the most impactful components of our business operations: travel by plane, car, and train, and energy consumption at the office. Based on these indicators, the CO2 footprint amounts to 0.042 tCO2 per assessment day in 2024.
