Our customer awareness

With the Information-driven Work programme we ensure that we are ready for the future.
The RvA wants to carry out the right assessments with the right information. A general question is and remains how we can efficiently and effectively deal with all the information we encounter every day. As a citizen and as an employee of an organisation. Every day we are bombarded with information, and at the same time companies have a growing need for information. The same is true for the RvA.
In 2024, the RvA further developed the Information-driven Work programme. The working vision of this programme is:
‘We are committed to assessing in a more transparent and better substantiated risk-based manner with the right information. This enables us to make accreditation decisions in such a way that the value of accreditation is and remains relevant for all stakeholders, while simultaneously providing better and new services.’
This working vision provides guidance on the content of the programme. Information-driven Work is also an important building block for the further development of our vision for risk-driven accreditation.
In 2024, we took major steps with the launch of dashboards. These provide insight into our activities and provide clear client information. In that way we can learn and make adjustments where necessary.
Multiple customers were involved in the development of the dashboards. For instance, we ran an interesting pilot with the Integrated Laboratory Conference of Water Quality Managers (ILOW) in which information about customer assessments in the accreditation process was exchanged and analysed.
The insights from the dashboards can also benefit the Lead Assessors and the Operations department. They give a good idea of a specific client process and help to achieve harmonisation within the team of assessors. In 2025, we will use this within our own organisation.
In October, the RvA was a guest speaker at the Fenelab Inspiration Day. The theme was ‘Innovating with intelligence: AI, drones and data’. On this day, we presented the possibilities of Information-driven Work to our customers and tested the idea of delivering business intelligence to our customers in the future. There was an enthusiastic response to what the RvA has achieved with this programme so far.
This year, the theme of the Strategic Advice Forum was Risk Management in Accreditation Assessments.
This attracted great interest from our customers, who showed enormous engagement in the interactive workshops which also enjoyed great interest from customers, stakeholders and other interested parties. After the opening by the chair, Prof. Marielle Stoelinga gave an introduction on risk management.
